My point was really to just give anyone a starting point on a bit of self-forgiveness... on the way to digging in, doing the work, correcting, amending, atoning, whatever. I think there are enough mindsets out there that allow for no safe ground on which to stand... in order to come back and recover from anything between-- a bad judgment call to a heinous act. In that there is no self-forgiveness and/or no true ability to forgive others. We always know when we have botched it. I just say we give ourselves enough of a chance to always have an avenue to go back and make something right.
